The

Protos Heritage™

With the Protos Heritage, customization is key. The holster offers adjustable retention, ride height, and cant, allowing you to tailor the holster to your preferred carry style and individual needs. Whether you prefer a higher or lower ride, or a slight forward or backward cant, this holster has got you covered.

At first was not a fan, but took the time to work with it and it's good

My first impression was that it was a nice holster, but didn't seem to fit the firearm properly. So I loosened up the retention screws and spacers, and wore it for awhile, then started tightening them back up again slowly. The trick is that this is optics cut and grabs by the trigger guard for retention. It is possible for it to go in nearer to the optics cut and then not seat in properly. It takes time to holster and re-holster multiple times to get this right. Once you get the hang of re-inserting it into the holster, you'll realize that part is solved.

The backing is one area which I wish I had invested in, but I didn't. The upgraded Protos has a pad on the backer, one small but likely positive upgrades. I wasn't sure if I would actually carry this one, so didn't want to invest more. My bad.

It comes adjusted with the clips so that grip rides right at top of the belt. So it's adjustable, yes. But from the factory, that is a good place to be so as not to call out attention to the grip printing against my shirt. It's brilliant really, the perfect ride height for a nondescript carry. I could adjust for more cant, but don't really want that with this one.

You hear this alot, I know. But I will say with the Bodyguard 2.0 comp carry model, with the 12 round mag in place, in this holster, you do forget it's there. It is so light, and the holster so perfect, the two spare 12 round mags I carry weigh more it seems. I say this because it's the best little gun holster I've used. Most of the time, the brand holsters I usually gravitate to, are large backers for a small gun. I never heard of Black Arch before, but I do believe future needs will be looking at Black Arch Holsters as a decent carry holster. The backer is roughed leather, but is a bit flexible, so it molds to you. I'm a bigger guy. Appreciate slimming down where possible. While flexible to a point, you can't accidentally pull the trigger from the back or the front. It's well thought out that way.

I'm a fan, I won't lie. I like the way it fits, the thin profile it has, and the well-thought out design. This small footprint of the holster compliments the low profile needed for good concealed carry.

Latest Holster Purchase

Black Arch Holsters are extremely comfortable, fit and finish are excellent, trigger guard completely Kydex covered and priced well. Have two previous Black Arch Holsters (Protos-M for CZP01 and Protos Heritage for SW Shield +). Purchased another Protos Heritage for a Sig P365Xl that had a few build issues. Black Arch immediately sent out a replacement holster that was the fit and finish expected. Along with great holsters, add great customer service to Black Arch Holsters. Very happy with all 3 holsters and will definitely add more IWB holsters in the future. Found the holsters i can wear all day in every situation. Thanks

PX4 Compact Carry Heritage

Comfortable and breathable holster. Feels good against the body, and there’s no sharp edges like there are with just straight kydex. The PX4 is a thick gun but conceals with a baggier shirt on. Great retention as well. No complaints.
