Our patented ¾ hybrid shell gives the perfect blend of adjustable, repeatable and safe retention usually reserved for full Kydex holsters. With Kydex wrapping the trigger guard you never have to worry about the backer collapsing in on itself, making it safer than traditional hybrids.

Great holster

I’ve owned maybe 6 hybrid holsters. Usually they’re all kinda bulky and huge and each one is good for some things and bad for others. I’ve mostly found them all to have some kind of drawback that eventually has me looking at another one. My buddy turned me on to Black Arch and figured hey what’s another holster lol. Well, this one seems great!! It’s much smaller than any others I’ve had. This takes away a lot of the problems that others had, digging into my hip when I sit if it’s not perfectly positioned, gotta get even bigger pants than normal, cumbersome and hard to get in and out of the pants. So far I haven’t experienced any of this with the black arch. The positioning is pretty forgiving and doesn’t cause any discomfort. The space it takes up in your waist band is reasonable. And one big thing is you can get a full grip around your weapon before drawing. Not a single other hybrid holster has provided this. The retention on this thing is also not solely reliant on the pressure from your belt. This is an HUGE plus. Every single hybrid holster I’ve had relies on pressure. But this has independent retention. Really great! Anyway. Very happy with it after a week of carrying. Time will tell!

Every single person that carries has a simple choice. Buy a Black Arch Protos- M straight out of the gate or have a drawer full of holsters and then buy the best on the market from Black Arch. I own 10 Protos-M Gen 1.0’s and now 2 more Protos-M 2.0’s. Simply put, comfortable and ultimate protection of firearm from body heat and sweat. That coupled with the ability to switch backers and carry positions/options makes the Protos-M with Dri-Matrix a no brainer for a novice or a professional.
